McCormick & Barr Talk Crime, Fentanyl, Border Disaster in Pittsburgh
You can’t have law and order, security, and safety without law enforcement’
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA. — Dave McCormick, a combat veteran and Pennsylvania job creator who served in the highest levels of government, today spoke at a roundtable outside of Pittsburgh with former Attorney General Bill Barr about the need for public policies that make Pennsylvanians safer.
Before diving into the topic of crime and public safety, McCormick commented on last night’s Presidential debate and Biden’s fitness for office.
“As someone who is a combat veteran — and first and foremost an American before party — I think we saw the possibility our Commander-in-Chief is not up to the job. That’s a scary thing to say and a sad thing to say…the 25th amendment…is probably something that’s worth consideration,” said McCormick.
Bob Casey repeatedly promised voters that Job Biden is fit to be president:
On the issue of crime, McCormick slammed Bob Casey and other public officials for their refusal to stand up for law enforcement and Pennsylvanians’ safety.
“We have urban decay and a challenge with law enforcement being able to fulfill its responsibilities… That’s creating a climate where violent crime is flourishing… You can’t have law and order, security, and safety without law enforcement… The reason for that is this defund the police movement, the difficulty of serving as a police office…the lack of support from public officials,” said McCormick.
McCormick and Barr were joined by former Governor Tom Corbett, District Attorney and PA GOP nominee for Attorney General Dave Sunday, attorney Andrea Parenti, and Sheriff Mike Slupe.
